1. Where Opportunities Come From
Information may originate from employers, government institutions, universities, development and research organizations, programme administrators and other public sources. Automated tools may help discover and organize that information. An AI discovery or successful import is not proof of authenticity.
2. Our Evidence-Based Approach
Checks depend on evidence available for the particular listing. These are standards for review, not a claim that every published listing has passed every check.
- Identify the issuing organization and the source of the announcement.
- Look for the relevant individual announcement on an official website or authorized recruitment platform.
- Compare available title, eligibility, location, deadline and application instructions.
- Check the application destination separately, including whether it corresponds to the opportunity rather than an unrelated directory.
- Use duplicate detection and subsequent reports or source rechecks where supported by recorded evidence.
3. Understanding Visible Status
The platform currently distinguishes the following public states. Private review, rejection or removal states are not presented as extra public certifications.
- Discovered: a source-attributed opportunity is published, but full source verification is not established by that label.
- Verified: the recorded verification state and current official-source evidence support a source-verification label. Application destination and application-link confirmations are separate checks.
- Expired / Applications closed: the recorded opportunity is no longer an active opening. An archive may remain useful, but users should not treat it as accepting applications.
4. What Verification Does Not Mean
Source checking does not guarantee selection, admission, employment, funding, continuing availability, applicant eligibility or the absence of every possible risk. A verified source does not create a partnership with TanzCareer. Organization logos, publication events, imported fields and automated scores cannot substitute for evidence. Read the individual listing’s evidence and status before relying on a verification label.
5. Protect Yourself
- Confirm the announcement with the issuing organization.
- Follow the official application instructions and check deadlines again.
- Treat unexpected payment requests and guaranteed-job promises with caution.
- Do not send banking details, passwords or one-time codes to suspicious contacts.
- Report impersonation, misleading information and fraudulent listings.
6. Report a Concern
Send the opportunity link and a concise explanation using the listing report action or Contact TanzCareer. A source link or official correction helps the review. The form accepts no sensitive attachments.
