Eligibility & Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Mining Engineering; valid Tanzania driving licence; registration as Graduate Mining Engineer with the Engineers Registration Board (ERB). Required skills also include mining software, spreadsheets and databases, English communication and effective collaboration across technical and operational teams.
Experience with Datamine, Vulcan, Micromine or Deswik; exposure to geology, surveying, planning, production, drill and blast.
At least one year of relevant mining experience, ideally mechanised open pit; at least one year of training exposure across other mine functions such as geology, survey, planning, production or drill and blast.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support to pit production and address mining execution deviations from the mine plan.
• Assist with pit plans, Bench Operating Plans and Daily Dig Plans, and check designs against short-term planning requirements.
• Review short-term planning designs using Vulcan, Datamine or Deswik with planning teams.
• Monitor pit, waste dump, ROM pad and construction design parameters including NAF/PAF waste boundaries.
• Prepare production spreadsheets, update analysis and reports, and contribute to basic operating cost checks.
• Support field safety, productivity and contractor coordination.
